I need help configuring extended desktop with an LCD screen for my laptop?

I bought a monitor Samsung 17-inch flat screen, the standard (as opposed to widescreen). My widescreen monitor is portable, however, and this creates certain problems on the resolution. The second (Samsung), the monitor has a maximum resolution of 1280x1024, while my laptop runs at 1280x800. Unfortunately, when I go to the setup screen, and I turn on the extended desktop and try to put the different resolutions, the resolutions available to Each monitor is just a list of widescreen. This makes it impossible for me to get a coherent and accurate on the second monitor. Someone there any suggestions for me? Thank you.

Although I can see why it happens ... the configuration of your computer monitor portable widescreen which does not allow for a standard ... and the Comptroller of the screen you want to undo the image stops .... therefore be rejected. I suggest you ask this question in a sophisticated forum ... as a forum for Microsoft or "portable" Manufacturer ... Keep trying ...
