What should I look for in a MacBook?

I am a first-year college next fall and we decided to buy a MacBook with my graduation money. I look at the model of aluminum-based costing $ 1,299. It features an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz, however, another model ($ 1599) has an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz, a larger hard drive and a backlit keyboard. I do not really need additional space, or the backlit keyboard, and it would be the best chip worth $ 300. I mainly use this computer for schoolwork, instant messaging, Web browsing and entertainment. I really I am a PC gamer and do not count in any specialty This would require a very good team. Another question, I would be 4 GB of RAM instead of 2GB worth 90 million upgrade? Thank you!

I was in the same place last year and went with the laptop in my basic model proposed by the school, 2.0 GHz, 2 GB RAM, and works well for everything I have to do school wise. Now I have a Dell and not a MacBook, but the specifications are similar to I can honestly say you do not need anything faster or with more RAM. But I was, I'm not a gambler, but I met a group of friends who like to play from time to time so I participate, and would often have these slight improvements. I think you should go to upgrade the RAM only because it will be useful for you in the future with better applications Out, and if they end up doing something similar for video editing projects that will help you. The faster processor not really necessary, but I'd say do not worry about that.
