How do I reset my laptop back to factory settings?

I own a avertec 7100 series laptop. My younger brother attempted to install windows xp without having the second disc needed. Now when I turn the computer on it's attempting to install the program but it can't because it recognizes the first part as if I'm trying to install the second part and stops on the screen asking for the second disc. It goes no further than that. How do I override the computer attempting to install the program and refresh it pack to factory settings if that's possible without a disc. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
