my laptop lcd screen won't work, i did something... help!?

i have a toshiba windows vista satellite and my lcd display wont display. i know it works but it's acting dumb. it brighten up but doesnt show picture. First it had horizontal lines which is why i decided to take the screen apart. I had done it before but this time i got too curious and disconnect the screen and took it out. i forgot to take out the battery and took it out during the middle of what i was doing. when i turned it on it didnt work so i redid it without the battery. After it still didnt work so i cleaned the memory, again forgot to take out the battery. It still doesn't work. i need to finish a test so please help!!!

the problem here is that if you ever had a warranty your no longer covered on it unless they don't notice that you opened it or you don't tell them, LCD's are super expensive to replace, i currently have no idea what you did to it but it could be a simple severed connection, thats what it kinda sounds like, have you tried hooking up the computer to an external monitor yet? try it, if its a problem then, it could be the computer graphics processor.
