Monitor CRT provides a typical aspect ratio (height divided by the width of 1280x960) and resolution is 0.75 what is "normal" looking images. However, when you buy an extra large LCD type that needs a resolution that gives 0625 as the screen is pressed and a video card that can only make 0.75 that "image" look fatter so to speak.
