RGBLED LCD What is That?
I'm looking into getting a Dell Precision Mobile Workstation and don't know the difference between the RGBLED LCD screen and just the regular LCD Panel. There is a $300 difference between the two types of screens (RGBLED LCD being the more expensive). What is the difference?
Thanks
As the other poster said, it isn't necessary unless color accuracy is critical (which, by the way, if so, get an IPS-panel external monitor and/or get a notebook with an IPS screen, like HP's 8740w). Normal LED-backlit LCDs use white LEDs for the backlight. RGBLED backlit LCDs use separate red, green, and blue LEDs for the backlight to form the white, which, as the poster above said, gives you better color accuracy.
