Panasonic Toughbook Laptop? Purchsing Need advice on use ...?
I would buy a Panasonic Toughbook laptop used mainly They use models that I should try to be reliable and fast? Looking to spend no more than $ 350.00 (choice looked on ebay) used the computer primarily for wireless Internet and Microsoft Word What .... is the minimum processor speed, memory (RAM), processor type, capacity hard drive and operating system should I buy?
Toughbooks are too expensive because of its "hardened shell" - so you do not get as a team with another brand. Of course, since you're shopping specifically for a Toughbook, you probably need that. Basically, you just just the best out of your budget can bear. If you want to maximize your performace on an old machine, I suggest you abandon Windows and installing an easy to use Linux as Ubuntu - comes with OpenOffice, which is virtually identical to MSWord (and is 100% compatible with MS Word files). Wireless Internet works generally outside the area and took some minimum configurations or not (as with Windows, except in Windows, it's a shame to run automatically if you do ...). Best of all, Ubuntu-us free, and free updates for life. Anyway, I suggest not least a 800 Mhz processor and at least 256MB of RAM to my specifications "minimal" when buying a machine. RAM is more important than processor speed, but in general relatively inexpensive can be updated after the fact. Hard drives are easy to replace, well, so if you find one that is perfect, except that has a 10GB hard drive, and not discard.
