Is it possible to put an ATI video card and an AMD processor in a laptop Acer?.
I just bought a PC Acer Aspire 3100 1711 Notebook - AMD Sempron 3500 +, DDR2 1GB, 120GB HDD, Dual Layer DVD RW, 15 "XGA, Windows Vista Home Premium. And I want to put a Radeon X1650 Pro IceQ / 512MB GDDR2 / PCI Express / DVI / VGA / HDTV / CrossFire Ready / Video Card in it and an AMD Athlon 64 X2 5400 + Processor 2.80GHz OEM. Is this possible and how can I do that?
Not possible. Or at least it is not possible under any reasonable financial cost. The laptop CPU is (almost certainly) welded to the map Mother and video card is (almost certainly) integrated into the motherboard. This is why you should buy a laptop if you need a laptop ... and also buy a computer you can update.
