I have a Toshiba Tecra laptop any picture?
I have a Toshiba Tecra. I turn on the laptop I have no image on the laptop LCD. If you connect external LCD I can see the photo. I have an idea of what went wrong past. But I can not decide which to buy a replacement. I will not buy the wrong piece. So I think it's the inverter, LCD, LCD cable connecting the motherboard or the Council itself. What do you think.
Evil is certainly not the motherboard, processor. You can exclude. Generally, if you can see the image on an external monitor, and LCD is very good shape, it is your video card. What a pain the rear to replace. However, there may be something simple as reconnecting the monitor cable LCD (UPS) ranging from the video card on the screen. disassemble and watch. If you can see a blurry background, it is quite possible that this could be a problem of backlight. However, it is very plausible (and I like being the bearer of bad news) the video came out. I recommend Search eBay for a replacement video card or just buy a new laptop. Your choice. Thank you.

I think what you meant to say is, if you hook it to an external monitor and it works that way, then the problem is not the video card. Its likely the inverter, one of the monitor cables or the back light.
