a netbook is a good alternative to a laptop when you have a computer?

I started college this year and I am interested in a netbook instead of big bulky laptop. Because I have an office. Id like to be able to carry and netbooks are compact. I relies on using a USB key and will only be for my homework. I think to get an MSI WIND ATOM 8.9in Netbook U90X BOOK Web Windows XP. It has a 120GB hard drive SATA. Also, the screen is only 8.9, but I'd be able to carry in your handbag. As I get one on eBay for only £ 169 would you that the value of what is good? I understand that laptops do not have scanners, but with a disk drive that is about knowledge.

Netbooks are good as secondary computers. They are designed for basic use (web, email, office, etc..) Since you mentioned that you have a desktop and and netbook will be used for homework, it was a good choice for you. Netbooks that you mentioned is good for the price (guess which is about $ 250 U.S.).
