Can an LCD TV be left in a cottage with no heat on (Pennsylvania) during the winter months or will it freeze?
I have left regular TVs there and haven't had a problem. I am concerned because of the words "Liquid Crystal".

Electronics are finicky when it comes to extreme weather conditions. Since most electronics are designed for the average person's living conditions, intense heat or cold can damage many electronic devices. Careful storage of your LCD TV while you're away during the winter months is essential if you want to protect your investment and see your set through the coldest season of the year.
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
Things You'll Need:
Blanket
Zip or twist ties
1
Power off your set, unplug it from the wall, and carefully wrap up the power cord. Use a twist tie, zip tie or string to keep the cord from coming unraveled.
2
Cover the set in a soft blanket to protect it from dust and sunlight. Keep your set away from direct sunlight; constant exposure to sunlight will damage your LCD TV. Sheltering the screen with a blanket also prevents dust, water and debris from collecting on or around the set.
3
Store your LCD TV above freezing temperature. Temperatures below freezing could damage your set. While LCD TVs typically have a lowest acceptable storage temperature of about -20 degrees Celsius (or -4 degrees Fahrenheit), it's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to an expensive television set. Keep it around room temperature to avoid damage from the cold.
4
Move your LCD TV to a place you're sure will remain dry. Water will damage your set if exposed to it.
